Rosario
football was restructured during the early 80s, following
the opening of a new purpose built youth club, and now
has at least one team at every available age group and
two senior teams in the NAFL (Northern Amateur Football
League). In 1998 Rosario acquired Ulidia
Playing Fields under a management agreement from
the Belfast City Council and this has allowed the club
to develop its football section in a more comprehensive
and professional manner.
Ethos
Rosario Football Club seeks to provide opportunities
for young people and adults, irrespective of race, gender
or religion, to enjoy sport/football. We actively encourage
representatives from different traditions, to enable
us to reflect the society in which we live. We realize
and appreciate the values and importance of sport in
the development of our young people. We strive to improve
the facilities we offer and increase both the number
and age range of our teams, and the level at which they
play.
We
want to develop our young people to be the best they
can be, to realize the value and importance of being
part of a team and to strive to represent themselves,
their families and their community at the highest level
attainable to them.
